Colombian duo founded in 2019 by violinist Daniela Trujillo and guitarist Alejandro Valencia. Sfera Duo’s great passion and eagerness for chamber music drives them towards a constant interpretative search that integrates both traditional and contemporary repertoire.
In addition to persistently researching works written for this ensemble, they encourage new composers to write for the duo and create original compositions and arrangements in order to enrich their repertoire, contributing new ideas and artistic proposals to this format.
Their successful participation in major festivals and concerts, including the Seville Guitar Festival (Spain), a concert at CasaSur Art Lab & Gallery in Madrid (Spain), and the Contemporary Music Forum of the Danube Bend in Budapest, Dunabogdány and Visegrád (Hungary), has opened doors to a new season combining artistic and pedagogical activities.
The 2026 agenda will include performances in Colombia’s most important cities, as well as their third European tour.
Sfera Duo’s first recording is currently available on digital platforms, featuring works by contemporary composers Jeffrey McFadden (Canada), Marek Pasieczny (Poland), Bence Kutrik (Hungary) and Kreshnik Aliçkaj (Albania).
